WORKING AT WHALE SEEKER

We aim to foster an environment that allows everyone to work together in the healthiest and most productive ways.

BENEFITS

Flexible work arrangements.

The nature of work is changing and Whale Seeker reflects these diverse needs. We believe that some people thrive with a traditional five day, 40 hour work week. Others don’t. We want to make sure that you are given the opportunity to work the way that works best for you.

Living Wage Commitment.

As a responsible employer, Whale Seeker believes that all of our team members should be paid fairly, generously, and equitably. This means that we believe that all of our team members should earn a wage that sustains a lifestyle that meets the standard of living in their city and provide some discretionary income. All Whale Seeker employees and contractors are paid, at minimum, the Living Wage for Montreal, as defined by Living Wage Canada.

Remote-First Workplace.

We practice a remote-first workplace, meaning that team members work from a home office or co-working space as their primary place of work. Working remotely allows us to work the way that works best for each of us as individuals, and allows for greater flexibility in caring for our families and loved ones.

Inclusive Employment.

Whale Seeker is an equal opportunity employer. This means that we strive to make employment decisions at every point in the employment relationship, from application to termination, based on merit. We want to have the most qualified person in every position. In addition, we are committed to complying with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities.

Training & Development.

At Whale Seeker, we are committed to supporting our team as they develop professionally and personally. Whale Seeker offers our team members five types of training: core job skills, cross-skills training, continuing professional development, personal development, and continuing education.

Vacation Policy.

We offer a starting amount of 15 days vacation for our full-time and part-time employees. Two weeks (10 days) of this vacation time can be taken throughout the year at the employee’s discretion. 5 days of this vacation time are to be taken during the winter break between Christmas and New Years.
